Ultrasonic occupancy counter with Arduino and HC-SR04

Limiting the number of people inside a shop or venue can help to maintain social distancing. This simple Arduino project can be placed in the doorway of a shop or other venue to count the number of people inside. All of the required components can be purchased for under £30, while the price per unit could drop to £10 when bought in bulk. If you are a maker, then perhaps consider creating these for local shops so that they can reopen safely as lockdown ends.
