We are recruiting participants for an experiment!

Edit: Recruitment is now closed. Thanks to all that have participated!

We are recruiting participants for an experiment, the 21st Century Prototyping Affordance study. If you participate you will be asked to evaluate a prototype of a product while we measure your brain activity. Afterwards, you’ll be asked to complete a survey.

The experiment takes place at Queens Building, and lasts less than one hour (i.e., you’ll be back in time for lectures etc.)

All participants will be able to opt-in to a “prize-draw” with the chance to win gift certificates. We are giving out 1x£120, 2x£80, 3x£20, and 4x£10 gift certificates for Amazon. Winners will be randomly selected after data collection is complete.

Important: Eligibility
Please only book an experiment slot if you fit all of the following “Inclusion criteria”:
• Age above 18 years old.
• Understand written and spoken English.
• Do not have any neurological or psychiatric conditions (e.g., ADHD, autism, epilepsy).
• Do not take any prescribed medication that could affect brain function (e.g., stimulants, antidepressants, sleeping medication)
• Do not have a history of alcohol or drug abuse that could affect typical brain function.

If you want to participate and fit the inclusion criteria, follow this link: https://doodle.com/bp/henrikkedybvik/product-evaluation-experiment to book a slot.

If you want more information or have questions, contact Henrikke Dybvik via email: henrikke.dybvik@bristol.ac.uk.

This is a functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) sensor that will be used to measure brain activity. It uses near-infrared light to measure brain activity, it is non-invasive, silent, and safe.
