Champ Hao

Champ is a visiting researcher in the third year of his PhD with the Design and Manufacturing Future Lab, University of Bristol.

He completed his master’s in mechanical engineering at Chongqing University in 2020, focusing on remanufacturing process planning. He holds an undergraduate degree in Industry Design from Nanjing Agricultural University.

Champ started his PhD investigating the intelligent remanufacturing methodology. He is currently exploring the promising intersections of machine vision and deep learning, specifically in 3D model reconstruction and failure identification. This work aims to enhance the automation processes in quality inspection, both in manufacturing and remanufacturing sectors.

Outside the office, Champ is a national second-level marathon athlete and Cross-country enthusiast.
