DMF Host TrollLabs from NTNU

We at the DMF lab hosted TrollLabs – a research group from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) at the end of November. We’ve worked closely with NTNU for a number of years but unfortunately haven’t been able to host in person due travel restrictions during the pandemic. It was great to host Professor Martin Steinert and his group here in Bristol and to share research progress on both sides from the last few years.

The trip enabled in-person discussions about Pro2booth, new Norway/UK funding opportunities announced by UKRI and a forum for PhD students to discuss and present their research.

It also enabled the first in-person meet of Daniel Ege and Mark Goudswaard, who had worked closely running the 2023 IDEA challenge and on numerous subsequent publications.

We look forward to continuing to work closely with NTNU with current projects and in the preparation of future grants.
