Mark Goudswaard PhD MEng FHEA

Dr Mark Goudswaard is a lecturer in digital and data driven engineering with specialisation in the area of design and manufacture at the University of Bristol.
His research falls into three overarching streams: i) people-led engineering; ii) data-driven product development; and, iii) advanced manufacturing and production systems.
While each of these research streams have core engineering science foci, there is also recognition that they are part of wider socio-technical systems that require input from a variety of disciplines to be adequately understood. Because of this, both research approaches and collaborations are typically transdisciplinary in nature.
His teaching is focussed on design and manufacture as unit director for Principles of Mechanical Engineering and also includes a course on AI applications in mechanical engineering.
