BAM research associates Lorenzo Giunto and Mark Goudswaard are in Lugano this week presenting their work at the 55th CIRP annual conference of manufacturing systems. This marks a first return to in person conferences since 2019, and it’s been a great opportunity to get out and share the exciting work that’s been going on with the BAM project.
Lorenzo presented his paper that considers different architectures for how to arrange the BAM network. The analysis of three architectures aimed to identify the advantages and disadvantages or each with a specific focus on the deployment of a pilot study.
We also managed to squeeze in a sprint up San Salvatore to enjoy the panoramic views and as always enjoyed catching up with researchers across the globe as well as meeting new people, such as Carlos from Madrid who was in Lugano presenting at his first conference – and did a great job to boot!
